Another good source of streaming is the internet streaming , mainstream radio and internet radio. But you need to know how to use it. Justin Bieber used uploading videos and doing album covers to get known but you need to know what will work for you.

I learn form bloggers, articles, and from from webinars. I had a webinar by Leah McHenry sometime and she spoke of 5 myths that you need to know about music today, these are:
1.You don't need a Music Recording Label to make money,
2. You don't need to be on tour,
3. You don't need to do file sharing,
4. You don't need to play on all gigs/ shows,
5. You don't need to have a million fans to make it.

Honestly, you need to be a success but you need to plan to succeed. Be serious about yout dreams and go for it because you love it. Be a doer, and try these. It will change your life, because it feels good to support your family from doing what you like.

You need to know if you can:
1. make £100-£500 perm month from music?
2. add another 300-500 people on your email list?
3. gain more 10,000 like on Facebook?
4. crowd fund your next project?
5. Add some songs online, like Reverbnation, SoundCloud, etc?

Some important advise for upcoming music artists are:

You need to know how to make money online through your music career, You can use any of the following:

The publishing royalties will help you get  your music license and make some royalties. They can be:

People love to buy full albums and less of singles, so put in the best, make it happen, record your music, license it and sell it. Do a good album cover, photoshoot will be needed and make it nice. For those who are starting off a music, you can have it as one of the following or all of them:
1. Album or LP- a musical recording that contains more tracks than one,
2. EP (extended play)- a musical recording that contains more tracks than a single, and may not qualify as an album as may be about 5 songs, it can be used to create awareness by musicians;
3. Singles - a musical recording that contains one track.

You need to brand yourself, so it is good. It involves buillding culture and community around your music. You may not need a PR to help you, but you need to let your audience and fans know you and what you like, what you do and some things about you. You need to use the internet, social media, research, read, and share. Basically, I summarise them as follows:
1. Knowledge and experience,
2. Webinars,
3. Skype,
4. Coaching,
5. Music Lessons/ tutorials like guitar lessons,

All you need is a highly targeted small group of fans, not a highly targeted fan base. You need to have the right people making views on your websites and Youtube channels. You need some super fans too, possibly 1000 super fans can get you £100 a year. So it is very good to know your fan base. You can continue your profession of being a doctor, an engineer, a dentist or a lawyer. All you need to kick start your music is to plan properly. You then need to youru music genre. You can have up to 3 genre but you need to know the main music genre that is yours. Also attending a music audition platform like X Project or America Got Talent. But also you need to know what you like.

There are 9 rules that you need to know:
1. Understand your target audience.
2. Know your super fans and connect with them.
3. You need to think about playing live,
4. You can play anywhere and can hit it big in 5 years,
5. You need to do practice daily and keep posting videos or thing son your music.
6. Hire a programmer,
7. Have a website,
8. Have a membership on your site,
9. Use publishing royalties.

You need to know how to work on your planning and know about the following:
1. Budgeting,
2. Planning again,
3. Choosing your song,
4. Launcing your music,
5. Social media srategies,
6. Currency conversion and Email lists,
7. Songwriting and breaking writers block,
11. Email marketing,
9. Using Youtube to upload videos and tag it,
10. Crowdfunding your  project,
11. A private facebook group where you give out secrets;

See you at the top, enjoy yourself and follow your passion. I love music too! You will succeed.
