Nurses Needed in the UK, and Ireland

UK Tier 2 Work Permits and Irish work permits are available now for non-EU trained nurses living in the UK or overseas. This could include qualified nurses from any country as long as they meet the UK NMC (Nursing and Midwifery Council) or the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI) requirements - experience, English language. The NHS has spots too which you can get.

In order for a non-EU trained nurse to work as a nurse in the UK, 

Eligibility-  

1. You must complete the International English Language Testing System (IELTS) and achieve a minimum score of at least 7.0 in all areas. There are no exceptions to this requirement, even if English is your first language

2. You must have practiced as a registered nurse or midwife for at least 12 months (full time or the part-time equivalent) after qualifying. This post-registration experience must be relevant to the field of practice you are applying for.

3. You must hold a current registration or license without restriction with the licensing authority or registration body in the country in which you qualified or have been practicing

4. You must have successfully completed at least 10 years of school education before starting a post-secondary education nursing or midwifery training programme, leading to registration in your home country as an entry-level registered nurse or midwife. 

Application process-

1. Applicants must complete a self-assessment of their eligibility to apply prior to beginning the application process with NMC

2. Take a Test of competence (part one) – This will be a computer based test of theoretical practice-based knowledge. The test format will be multiple choice and can be taken in test centres around the world.

3. Take a Test of competence (part two) - The test is an objective-structured clinical examination (OSCE) and can only be completed in the UK.

Note- The immigration rules changed in March 2015 to allow for an individual nurse to come to the UK to prepare for the OSCE.

1. To provide complete support through out the whole process by offering a expert advise and consultancy services.

2. This would involve assisting with Nurses registration process to determine eligibility. 

3. Reviewing your documents to ensure Nurses meet the requirements before proceeding

4. Providing guidance on the IELTS English exams 

5. Providing guidance on the 1st competency test to ensure success.

6. Once the above has been completed our strategic agency partner in the UK will secure a Job for Nurses or Midwife to enter the UK to work as a Pre-Registration candidate and prepare for the practical competency test with OSCE. 

7. With an offer of employment in hand we would also guide the Nurse with the tier 2 Visa process. This involves reviewing the completed documents and forms for the visa application and providing expert advice.

8. Once the Nurse arrives in the UK, our UK correspondent will be on hand  to provide any support necessary.

How long you can stay

You can come to the UK with a Tier 2 (General) visa for a maximum of 5 years and 14 days, or the time given on your certificate of sponsorship plus 1 month, whichever is shorter.

Your stay must start no more than 14 days before the start date on your certificate of sponsorship.
