African Beauty: A poem by Chiemela Victor A. & Oghogho Joy O.

Her colour brings her out in the crowd.
Her hairstyle of tight curls in a round shape,
Makes her appear tall.
Her brown iris is as beautiful as the sand of the sea.

The way she walks shows grace and hard work.
Her waist is built such that men want to have a hold
Her carriage is a wonder to behold.
Her high shoulders strike a chord

Her speech is seasoned with salt.
Her punctuation always have a but
As one defends in a court
When she walks, sways a well loaded butt

She is a lover of nice perfumes and body sprays
Her tongue makes you spend all on her.
She can tell a jist even if its all lies
She loves to visit families but hates the visit's byes

The way she moves her eyes,
Though she is never shy
Shows she's a sly
With ambitions as high as the sky

Her curves are really magnificent
And gracious are the sway of her hips,
As they would make one open his lips
Even when they are not in cinema with chips

Her glory depicts beauty and grandeur
Her lips are soft and succulent as plums of sugar
They are naturally lined as red as rose
White the colour of her makeup so mild with gloss

The smile from her face
Make her neat white teeth to be conspicuous
Elegance in her steps
As she walks down the aisle.

She grows awaiting her Princess
Even though she is a Princess of Beauty
Preparing to tell tales of Snow White
To kids unborn that will show her beauty

She loves to knit
Passioned with recipes of love
She loves to adorn herself with time
Her beauty helps her win with her charm

She is always so calm
And her words soothe like balm
She makes the best of meals
The arroma from her kitchen make the birds chirp

Knights be ready for battle
Not battle of guns and knives
But battle for who wins her heart
Because her beauty is the talk of all titles

Her beauty is one to behold.
The wonder of it is immeasurable.
Is it the glow of her skin,
Glittering like the morning sun

She is the breviary of beauty.
She is the African Woman.
Respect for her family is her attire
But love for her kids is her chime

Story of John's Wedding

This is a very touching story of John, whose best friend is Michael.
Their friendship was stronger than that of brothers, they schooled, ate, played and did everything together and their parents were so proud of them as they always stood and fought for each other whenever trouble arose and 'happiness' was their best friend because they were always happy.

One day, John proposed to Kate, a young lady and decided to marry not knowing that she had traits of lies in her life and her some undeclared past relationship that he should have known about.

As time went on, they got busy planning for their wedding and his best friend was so happy for him, just like John was also wishing him to find his own partner for marriage so that he wouldn't feel so lonely after John gets married to Kate.

Few weeks to our wedding, Michael visited John but met in his absence. John's fiance was at home and Michael was not so relaxed without him but John asked him to wait in the house until he returned.

On getting home, to John's surprise, Michael wasn't there, only for his wife to tell him that his best friend was trying to rape her. John believed her bcos he loved her so much and this got him so mad.
Quickly, John drove down to Michael's house and before he could say a word, had hit him with a bottle of wine on the table, and he sustained a serious injury and he got admitted at the hospital.

On getting back to his house, he heard Kate speaking on the phone, "Don't worry Joyce, he believed everything I told him and I'm sure they're already fighting now". Joyce was a girl that was 'dying' to have Michael back in their school days but he didn't want to date her so that their friendship wont be jeopardized.

She was surprised when she ended the call only to see John behind her. Immediately, John ran out of the house  without saying a word to apologize to Michael but he had sustained a brain injury.

He was hoping his best friend will forgive him but it all went tragic when the doctors told John theat he died after a brain surgery. John weeps everyday with a feeling of depression; he called off the wedding and says to himself: HOW COULD I HAVE BEEN SO STUPID????

This is what happens when you do not trust your bossom friend. The devil brings spirits of confusion whenever he sees us happy and we fail to realize this. I pray and declare to someone reading this,  that any spirit of confusion in your life/family, be destroyed in Jesus Christ powerful name I pray, AMEN!!

The preacher in Leeds

Several years ago, a preacher from a distant town accepted a call from a church in Leeds. Some weeks after his arrival, he had an appointment that made him to board a bus to another part of the town. When he sat down, he discovered that the driver had mistakenly given him his balance in excess of 50 pence.

As he considered what to do, he thought within him, 'You'd better give this money back. It would be wrong to keep it'. Then another thought came, "Oh, forget it, it's only 50p; who would worry about this little amount, afterall the bus company makes so much money on fares; they will never miss it. Accept it as 'a gift from God' and keep quiet. "When he was getting down from the bus, he paused momentarily at the door, and then handed the 50p to the driver and said, 'Take; the balance you gave me was over'.

The driver, with a smile, replied,'Aren't you the new preacher in town?' 'Yes I am' he replied.'Well, I have been thinking a lot lately about where to go to worship. I just wanted to see what you would do if I give you balance in excess. I'll worship with you at the church this Sunday. When the preacher stepped off the bus, he grabbed a nearby electric pole, looked up and said, 'Oh God, I almost sold your Son for 50 pence. Lesson: Our lifestyles are the only Bible some people will ever read.

This is just a subtle example of how much people watch us as Christians, and will put us to test! Always be on guard -- and remember -- You carry the name of Christ on your forehead and shoulders once you call yourself a Christian.

'Watch your thoughts;they become words. Watch your words; they become actions. Watch your actions; they become habits. Watch your habits; they become character.Watch your character; it becomes your destiny'. I'm glad a friend forwarded this to me as a reminder and I chose to forward it to you

MAN: A poem; by Chiemela Victor A. & Oghogho Joy O.

Man! Who is he?

Man? Where did he come from?
Man? What does he do?
Man? Why do they call him man?

His mother leaps for joy
When she calls his name
Because she knows he ain't a toy
But a prince who will bring her fame.

His father's heart jumps with pride,
Each time he thinks about him
Because he knows he has a child
Who together they make a team

He doesn't go to sleep
Without reminding himself of his dreams.
Hew warns his son about dangers of life
Even when he has been sent to the streams.

He trains his son to be a lover
So that he can also be a good father
He plots his steps to avoid making mistakes
Because he knows his future is at stake.

Every morning, new hope awakes his zeal
So he wouldn't be a waste or steal
His hands are as strong as steel
His hair as shinny as pearls

His looks are charming
And he is the talk of all the maidens
He has respect for traditions
And humility is part of his stance

He has strides that show he loves his time
Yet he is a good listener
With a physique as solid as the rock by the road
Yet he spends time to work even in the cold

Man! Who can understand him?
So you think, until you meet him
He is as simple as frame
That makes you say "he looks like his father"

The colour of his skin is as dark as Ebony.
He is an epitome of African beauty
His smart outfits make people stop to stare
And wonder what makes him a star

But what he has upstairs is not grass
But when engineered into a process
Will yield things of noble access and class
That is the idea of a cute young man.

The King's finger

A King had a male servant who, in all circumstances always said to him; My king, do not be discouraged because everything God does is perfect, no mistakes.
One day, they went hunting and a wild animal attacked the king, the servant managed to kill the animal but couldn't prevent his majesty from losing a finger. Furious and without showing gratitude, the King said; if God was good, I would not have been attacked and lost one finger.
The servant replied, 'despite all these things, I can only tell you that God is good and everything He does is perfect, He is never wrong'. Outraged by the response, the king ordered the arrest of his servant. While being taken to prison, he told the king again, God is Good & Perfect. Another day, the king left alone for another hunt and was captured by savages who use human beings for sacrifice.
On the altar, the savages found out that the king didn't have one finger in place, he was released because he was considered not "complete" to be offered to the gods. On his return to the palace, he ordered the release of his servant and said; My friend, God was really good to me. I was almost killed but for lack of a single finger, I was let go.
But I have a question; If God is so good, why did He allow me to put you in prison? His servant replied; My king, if I had not been put in prison, I would have gone with you, and would have been sacrificed, because I have no missing finger.
Everything God does is perfect, He is never wrong. Often we complain about life, and the negative things that happen to us, forgetting that everything happens for a purpose.
God knows why you are reading this message today, please bless someone with it by sharing it. God is good and perfect!!

Two ladies in Church

Two young ladies arrived at a meeting wearing clothes which were very revealing.
The chairman took a good look at them and made them sit down. He looked at them straight in the eyes and said; "ladies, everything that God made valuable in this world is well covered and hardly to see, find or get.
1. Where do you find diamonds? Deep down in the ground, covered and protected.
2. Where do you find pearls? Deep down at the bottom of the ocean, covered up and protected in a beautiful shell.
3. Where do you find gold? Way down in the mine, covered over with layers of rock and to get them, you have to work hard & dig deep down to get them.
He looked at them with serious eyes and said; "Your body is sacred & unique" You are far more precious than gold, diamonds and pearls, and you should be covered too."
So he added that, if you keep your treasured mineral just like gold, diamond and pearls, deeply covered up, a reputable mining organization with the requisite machinery will fly down and conduct years of extensive exploration.
First, they will contact your government (family), sign professional contracts (wedding) and mine you professionally (legal marriage).
But if you leave your precious minerals uncovered on the surface of the earth, you will attract a lot of illegal miners to come and mine you illegally. Everybody will just pick up their crude instruments and just have a dig on you.
Keep your bodies deeply covered so that you only invite professional miners to chase you.
