OBASANJO IN POLITICS OF NIGERIA EVEN AT 79

Gen. OLUSEGUN OBASANJO has, no doubt, been icon and owner of Otta Farms, one of the biggest in South West Nigeria, as well as so many investments. He is someone who has encouraged Nigeria, fought for Nigeria, being behind almost every regime in Nigeria, except about four (4) regimes including that of Late Abacha. 

OBJ, as he is fondly called has done both good and evil to Nigeria, as he is an evil you must run away from and an angel you must embrace. Put him inside a deep freezer, he will come out so hot but whenever he comes out of an oven, he will be freezing cold!

He is indeed an Ebora...... He is laughed at but he never cares; the press tackle him but he still dares; the musician like Idris Abdulkareem sang against Nigeria and he commanded he resang the song: "Nigera jaga jaga"; he set up EFCC to tackle corruption and ICPC to tackle crime in Nigeria; he was a strong force in the African Unioin (AU); he set-up both  President Goodluck Jonathan and Late President Yaradua.

OBJ remains a strong hold of PDP (Peoples Democratic Party), eventhough they recently lost the presidency to opposition party APC. He also holds several awards and honournary degrees from different institutions. He was also one of the strong fighters that fought to conquer the Biafrans during the Nigerian Civil War. 

Baba, as he is fondly called by Nigerians, loved politics and wanted to serve a third term and really had some votes in the national Assembly of Nigeria, but that never got passed anyway. He was also one student of Theology, via the National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN), probably Baba wants to open a church in Nigeria, who knows!!!

Commander of the Third Marine Commando who merely killed the civil war elephant with his cap, whereas, others have been shooting for months.......the first time he ruled Nigeria, it was because Murtala died, the second time he ruled, it was because Abiola died........Murtala and Abiola were good friends.........He has never used his personal fund or efforts to get anything, they always call him. The first time he wanted it on his own effort, third term failed woefully! Trust him, he denied it, despite all that we saw, his song concerning third term has always been "It wasn't me"......Baba Na you! He is the biblical son sang in Psalms, "...and I will prepare a way for you in the presence of your enemy".

He is the first military man in Nigeria, if not Africa, to hand over to a civilian in what looked like a democratic setting. The whole World celebrated him, he became the UN think tanker, he almost became UN Secretary General but it was his wish. A blogger wrote that Prof. Wole Soyinka wrote tens of petitions against him to stop the UN from producing him, it took the intervention of Late MKO Abiola, who prostrated flat for Soyinka at the Sheraton Hotels, begged him to allow a Nigerian win the UN Secretary General........Soyinka said he was scared, seeing an Aare Ona Kakanfo postrating for him, he stopped further pettitions but the damage has already been done, OBJ never recovered!

OBJ successor in 1979 was a disaster economically and politically, Shagari government was the beginning of acute poverty in the land. Buhari saved us from OBJ's wrong choice. In 2007, OBJ repackaged another disaster. He is also the first civilian ruler who handed over to another civilian in our history. But his choices were worse than before. He packaged a medically dead man as the president and mentally dead semi man as his deputy......Nigeria almost went down to the grave. We were robbed totally, we were killed and maimed.......once again, Buhari came to his aid, saved us, once again, from OBJ wrong choices!!!!

Everyone wants him on their side. Enemies and friends, husband and wives......Since 1979, no one has ever won the presidential election without OBJ'S obvious support!!!!!!!

He can destroy, he can build. He can steal, he can fight stealing. A writer of books and letters.......lover of women. An MC, introducing Baba, said: "Give him pounded yam and palm wine, you have finished him. A great entertainer, master of words, great finisher. Always demanding for relevance, you can't ignore him successfully". 

  
 He is like Peter, one of The disciples of Jesus. Jesus once told Peter and said "Get thee behind me ye devil", another time he told Peter, he said "Peter, you are the rock upon which I will build my church...."

SEX NEEDS FOR A HUSBAND AND WIFE

Sex is an issue most people avoid to discuss, but it is very important for a couple to talk about it even before going into marriage properly. The concept of sex did not start today, and it has always been an important element in marriage. Some authors say: until there is sexual intercourse between a husband and a wife, the marriage is not yet spiritually recognized. This shows how important sex is in marriage.

Sex needs does not mean that the man wants it more than the woman or that she wants it more than her man; it goes both ways but the hormones and the condition of the mind also affect sex drives.

Atimes, aggressive men during love-making or sexmay make one think that what a man needs from a woman is sex. Of course, if he has not married you yet or he does not really intend to marry you what he will need from you is nothing above your body. If he really intends to marry you or if you guys are already married sex is never what he needs from you.

I recommend some nice books on relationships from Nancy Van Pelt called "The Compleat Marriage", "The Compleat Courtship", "Smart Love",  "Highly Effective Marriage" and "The Compleat Tween", as many young girls think because they are sexually active and have great sexual experience they will easily be married and have their husbands loving them; and when a man approaches them for marriage, they think the greatest asset they have to show the man is sex. Others also think once they are giving out their bodies it means they are giving out the best for which reason they will be chosen above all.

A story was told of a pretty young girl who was tall and sexually active. Due to the fact that she thought sex is all that matters to a man, ironically, she struggled for long before finally getting married. Her sexual dexterity could not win her the heart of a man until out of the blue and reason beyond imagination a very handsome good man married her. The wedding was grand and her tears were now gone. Unfortunately only a year after the wedding the marriage fell on rocks. Within five years three different men came her way but none could stay.

It took an experienced psychologist to help her  fix the problem , which was quite simple. She thought sex was all that matters so she would never submit. But submission is what men need, not sex. It is time for our young ladies to know that when a man is ready to marry he will not look out for a woman who will satisfy his sex drive but a woman who will submit herself to him.  So when you are a humble woman, you are an expensive jewelry. And a man of integrity will fear to lose you.

The holy Bible says:  "wife, submit to your husband." The reason is that a man's true love goes out only for a woman who is submissive. Your beauty cannot make another woman ugly but your humility can let him love you above all other women. Sadly, many young ladies in our present day call submission as "control." You may hear them saying in tiny romantic voices, "As for me I don't want any man to control me oh." If you don't want to submit don't think of marriage because no man in his right sense will offer his love to a woman whose heart is higher than his height, no matter how short he may be.

When a woman bows her knee before a man, the man will automatically bow his heart before her love. And love her sincerely. There are, of course, recalcitrant men who will not value women of humility but I tell you that every true man does not need sex, but submission. It is submission that truly makes you a romantic wife. So be the QUEEN you want to be but when it comes to dealing with your husband, play the role of a humble maid. Don't forget that it is the spirit of humility that has caused many maids to hijack their mistresses' husbands. Be your man's queen and be his maid also.

 As we grow older, and hence wiser, we slowly realize that things of this life do not matter as much as our relationships with other people.

BEN CARSON: His Nuerosurgery, Siamese Twins and political career

Prof. Dr Ben Carson was the first surgeon to attempt to separate siamese twins. It was also covered in his book THE GIFTED HANDS, which also has a movie, THE GIFTED HANDS, which I recommend you read and /or see. Dr. Ben Carson remains a world renowned neurosurgeon at John Hopkins hospital, a 2016 Presidential Aspirant (and contender) of United States of America, a dedicated Christian and Seventh-Day Adventist Church baptised member and has one of my inspirational true life stories of all time. Benjamin Solomon Carson, Sr. had a childhood dream of becoming a physician.  Growing up in a single parent home with dire poverty, horrible grades, a horrible temper, and low self-esteem, appeared to preclude the realization of that dream.  But today he is the Director of Pediatric Neurosurgery at the Johns Hopkins Children’s Center, a position he has held since 1984 when he was 33 years old.  He is a professor of neurosurgery, oncology, plastic surgery, and pediatrics.

FIRST CASE (the one in the picture above, successful): In 1987, he gained world-wide recognition as the principal surgeon in the 22-hour separation of the Binder siamese twins from Germany. This was the first time occipital craniopagus twins had been separated with both surviving. The procedure employed hypothermic arrest, the deliberate lowering of body temperature, and circulatory arrest, and sophisticated surgical reconstructive techniques for success.

THE SECOND CASE (successful): In 1997, Dr. Carson was the primary surgeon in the team of South African and Zambian surgeons that separated type-2 vertical craniopagus twins (joined at the top of the head) in a 28-hour operation. It represents the first time such complexly joined siamese twins have been separated with both remaining neurologically normal.

THE THIRD CASE (not successful): Most recently, Dr. Carson participated in the noble, but unsuccessful, humanitarian effort to separate adult Iranian craniopagus twins in Singapore. (Things learned from that case are already being used to help others).

Their parents' marriage fell apart. The father, Josef, eventually fell into despondency, became an alcoholic, lost his job, cheated on his wife, spent almost all their money, and eventually died. Their mother, unable to raise two boys who could neither move nor feed themselves, eventually lost her faith in God, and placed the two boys in a home for disabled children where they became wards of the German state. She eventually remarried and had another child. As for the boys themselves, Benjamin Binder died sometime in the last decade. Patrick Binder (now 28) is still alive, but cannot speak. His mother still visits him, but communicating is difficult.

The truth is that Dr. Ben Carson remains a world renowned neurosurgeon and his surgery was a success, and the truth to these internet conspiracy stories are not confirmed but could be posted by his political opponents.

CHURCH FUND RAISING

I wish to ask if anyone here has organised a fund raising event? Has anyone here organised a charity event? James 1:5, admonishes us: “If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you”.

Having a successful church fundraising is an interesting project but it requires it requires time, hard work, enthusiasm planning, a team of people, great ideas and some money to set it up. Fundraising events also offer great opportunities to socialize and really get to know people and families in church but some ideas are already being used for charities like ADRA.

If you are part of a church group, the last thing on your mind may be raising money, but often it might be necessary. The funding is just out there and you have no choice but to cut programs and find a way to create something else or cut some or other items planned. Unless members of the church are willing to step up to the plate and meet the financial needs, sometimes you need to hold a church fundraiser.

Most of us are workers, and may not have the liberty of time like students to organise events that need us to be there; some events could be done online like gofundme, indigogo, crowdfunding, etc., but not all events can be done in church funding.

Like most types of fundraising groups there are a few major categories that churches can and should consider based on individual needs. There are brochure fundraisers that cost nothing to start. There are candy fundraisers which are about the easiest possible product to sell. Then there are our two highest profit categories that include discount fundraising cards and scratch card fundraisers.

THE STORY OF THE HUT


The only survivor of a shipwreck was washed up  on a small, uninhabited island. He prayed feverishly for God to rescue him, and every day he scanned the horizon for help, but none seemed forthcoming. Exhausted, he eventually managed to build a little  hut out of driftwood to protect him from the elements, and to store his few possessions.

One day, after scavenging for food, he arrived home to find his little hut in flames, and soon there was nothing left. The worst had happened, and everything was lost. He was stunned with disbelief, grief, and anger. "God, how could you  do this to me?" He cried.

Early the next day, he was awakened by the sound of a ship approaching the island. It had come to rescue him. "How did you know I was  here?" The weary man asked his rescuers. "We saw your smoke signal," they replied.

In life it's easy to get discouraged when things are going bad, when things are not going our way, but we shouldn't lose heart, because God is at work in our lives, even in the midst of pain, and suffering.

Remember this the next time your "hut" seems to be burning to the ground. It
